Bolshevik Factory wins AIA International Region Award

On Saturday 7 October, John McAslan + Partners were awarded with an International Region Design Award by the American Institute of Architects at The Lobkowicz Palace in Prague. International Region President James Wright says ‘the awards recognise design excellence and the ability of outstanding architecture to serve as an inspiration to our members throughout the International Region and the world.’

The Bolshevik Factory is a significant example of pre and post-Soviet industrial heritage, but had fallen into disrepair. After a painstaking restoration process, the practice transformed the factory into what is now an adapted mixed-use commercial and cultural centre in central Moscow, and was completed in 2016.
