EVENT: Open House London

John McAslan + Partners are delighted to be taking part in Open House London, the capital's largest annual festival of architecture and design, taking place on 19 +  20 September 2015.

Representatives from the practice will be conducting tours of Friends House, the home of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in Britain; The Headquarters of Al Jazeera Media Network UK.

Paddy Pugh, Director of Conservation and Planning at John McAslan + Partners, will be leading heritage tours of Tottenham on 19th September. The first tour starts at 11am and the second tour at 12:30pm. Both tours will start and end at N17 Design Studio.

N17 Design Studio will be open from 10am to 5pm on Saturday 19th September.

Models made by the students from Northumberland Park Community School, demonstrating their vision for the regeneration of key areas in Tottenham, will be on display on the day. This is part of the practice's ongoing outreach programme with local schools in the area. The second series of workshops have now started and new students' work will be on display at the practice's main office from next week.

You will also be able to pick up a copy of 'Daisy's Guide to Tottenham,' produced by the local Tottenham resident Daisy Ignatiou - one of five apprentices who joined John McAslan + Partners as a result of our partnership with Haringey Council and now a member of the practice's Marketing team. Daisy's guidebook will highlight interesting shops, cafes, creative hubs and little known facts about the area. 50 copies will be printed and will be given out on a first come, first served basis.

Thomas Deckker, Senior Architect from John McAslan + Partners in charge of Apex House, will also be at N17 Design Studio from 2pm to 4pm. The practice's proposal for a new residential building on the Apex House site, located at the corner of Tottenham High Road and Seven Sisters Road, has recently been submitted for planning.

Please note that all the tours are now fully booked.
