John McAslan + Partners has been shortlisted alongside nine other international practices to design a £40 million National Holocaust Memorial next to the Houses of Parliament in London. As well as the memorial itself, the scheme could also include a learning centre including the testimonies of British Holocaust survivors and camp liberators. The concept designs by all 10 finalists will be exhibited in central London and locations around the UK from Saturday 25th February 2017.
The short-listed practices are: Adjaye Associates (UK), Allied Works (US), Caruso St John (UK), Diamond Schmitt Architects (CA), Foster + Partners (UK), Heneghan Peng Architects (IE), John McAslan + Partners (UK), Lahdelma & Mahlamäki Architects (FI), Studio Libeskind (US) and Zaha Hadid Architects (UK).
