JMP wins 3 RIBA Awards and climbs AJ100 rankings
In a successful week for the practice, JMP has won three RIBA Awards and climbed 49 places up to 17 in the AJ100 ranking, which lists the UK's most successful architectural practices.
At the AJ100 awards dinner last night, the RIBA Awards were announced with JMP's Charles Carter Building, Lancaster University winning in an RIBA North West prize and Stanislavsky Factory, Moscow and the Iron Market, Port-au-Prince both scooping International Awards. About the Charles Carter Building, the judges note that 'the building's simple form, material clarity and environmental strategy set a new marker for this university in terms of both making a place and providing space.'
The practice was also shortlisted for AJ100's Fastest Growing Practice and International Practice of the Year. The latter was attributed to the practice's notable portfolio of work in Doha as well as major schemes in India, Turkey, Russia, Italy, Kenya and China.
Earlier this week, the practice was also awarded Outstanding Achievement in Station Design and Construction from over 400 nominations at the Future of Station Design conference.
