Tony Skipper is a Chartered Architect and the Managing Director of John McAslan + Partners, an international practice of architects based in the UK but with a growing portfolio of award-winning projects across the world. The practice ethos is to create buildings and places that improve people's lives and Tony is keen to contribute personally to the work of the RIBA in promoting design excellence, skills and education to those communities and individuals in less fortunate circumstances, promoting easier routes to practice and improving international trade links.
Tony adds: "Our practice has for many years offered our skills and expertise internationally, often to deprived communities and those suffering after global disaster. This year we received the prestigious Queen's Award for Enterprise in International Trade in recognition of our international portfolio and I have personally championed the role of RIBA Chartered practices like us in providing the best design and technical skills necessary in the practice of architecture globally."
Tony has also participated in several UK government trade missions specifically in China and South America and he is keen to see the RIBA recognised as the world-leader in promoting the skills and reputation of the architecture profession on an international stage.
