Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery

Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery (BMAG) is in the heart of Birmingham City Centre. It attracts 800,000 visitors a year
and displays 5,000 objects from a total collection of circa 800,000 objects owned by the City of Birmingham. The collection of works by the Pre-Raphaelite Brethren and their contemporaries is arguably the best in the world. JMP's proposals to modernise and improve BMAG respect the architectural significance of the Grade II* listed Council House Building and Extension, designed by Yeoville Thomason but recognise that these buildings need to adapt and evolve - affording BMAG the modern facilities, clearly defined 'front door' and enhanced cultural presence it so richly deserves.
