Chhatrapati Shiavji Maharah Vastu Sangrahalaya

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya , the former Prince of Wales Museum in Mumbai, is India's premier cultural institute, located at the heart of Mumbai's historic port enclave on the southern tip of this global city. Designed by the British architect George Willet and opened by The Prince of Wales in 1914, CSMVS is celebrating its centenary in 2014. As part of these celebrations, John McAslan has been invited to prepare a masterplan for the museum in order that it might plan for the future. At the heart of JMP's masterplan is the practice's proposal for a new wing for the museum which will be an invaluable
future asset, providing additional exhibition galleries along with educational and other programmatic space in order to enhance and extend this historic museum's offer.
