Ciftci Towers, Istanbul

The stepped form of this high-end residential and retail development takes full advantage of extraordinary views from the site across this great city: the Bosphorus and the Golden Horn can be clearly seen from here.  The scheme also addresses environmental challenges, featuring leading edge sustainable design.  The two towers consist of three glazed fingers, separated by 'sky gardens'.  The external envelope incorporates a series of winter gardens which provide semi-external space for residents whilst shading interiors.  The base of the towers are set into a slightly raised landscaped podium, which creates space for other uses beneath the buildings.
