Mitchell Library

John McAslan + Partners has developed a proposal for a major new project which would transform the setting and ambience of Glasgow's prestigious Grade A listed Mitchell Library designed by the eminent Glasgow architect William B Whitie in 1905. This significant cultural project proposes a new piazza and enhanced connections formed by creating a widened route across the M8 immediately beneath, which currently creates such a damaging setting for this world-renowned library and city landmark.
