Crossrail Bond Street
The practice's Urban + Infrastructure team, together with WSP, is delivering Crossrail's Bond Street station, which will handle 250,000 passangers a day from 2018 when the station opens to public. The Bond Street Crossrail tunneling is now complete with fit out works commencing on site. The new station will consist of two platform tunnels extending between two new ticket hall buildings at Davies Street (Western Ticket Hall) and Hanover Square (Eastern Ticket Hall). Both passenger ticket halls are located at street level and will be linked to the platform tunnels by escalators, concourses and cross-passage connections.
The practice is also undertaking an urban integration and landscaping study in collaboration with the City of Westminster, Grosvenor and Great Portland Estates, to embed the station in its immediate and wider context.
