The 21-storey, five-star Park Hyatt Serviced Apartments occupies a prominent position as the southern gateway to Msheireb Downtown Doha, the 31-hectare district that makes a new centre of the city. The tower is carefully arranged to maximise views toward the Corniche and West Bay, reinforcing its role as a landmark within the evolving cityscape.
A six-storey podium anchors the building at street level, accommodating a spa, restaurant, and meeting and event facilities. This base establishes a strong relationship with the public realm while supporting the building’s hospitality programme.
The architectural design takes inspiration from traditional Qatari architecture, with an emphasis on creating intimate, shaded internal spaces that respond to the hot climate. This approach is expressed in the treatment of the facade and the pronounced colonnade at the base of the building, which provides shelter together with bold architectural scale and rhythm. Together, these elements combine cultural reference with contemporary design to deliver a distinctive and climatically responsive urban presence.
