Fanos Panayides joined JMP in 2003 and has played a leading role in a diverse range of work in the transportation, commercial, mixed-use, residential, education and cultural sectors. He has recently returned to the UK following 2 years based in Qatar leading JMP's extensive portfolio of projects in Doha. Now, as Director with responsibility for major projects, he is leading the practice's diverse mix of transport projects within the Urban Infrastructure Team.
Prior to this, Fanos led the $5bn Msheireb urban regeneration scheme in Doha, involving a 35ha masterplan and 14 new commercial, mixed-use, residential and cultural buildings, together with significant public realm works and complex interfaces with the new Metro infrastructure. Fanos also the multi-station Doha Metro Green Line Project due for completion in 2019.
Fanos was made Associate in 2007, Associate Director in 2009 and Director in 2012. He currently leads the Part 3 mentoring programme and is a member of the practice's sustainability steering group.
