The £40 million revamp for Cadogan Estates in partnership with Kensington & Chelsea will favour pedestrians above vehicles and will introduce generous pavements, new street furniture, trees and planting to the famous shopping street. Choice of plants for this ‘green boulevard’ will be overseen by Chelsea Flower Show winner Andy Sturgeon. Work on the project begins this autumn and is expected to take three years.
