We recently convened a panel of leading aged-care experts and academics for this year’s Melbourne Design Week, to ask what has this pandemic taught us about designing and planning for a future aged care environment?
Paul East in Edinburgh and Troy Uleman in Sydney were joined by panellists from across Australia to explore best practice and innovative ways we can deliver aged-care in the future and debate what needs to happen to better support the elderly and provide affordable, accessible, adaptable and stable solutions.
Drawing from extensive research we are under-taking with The University of Edinburgh, Architects Foundation (US) and the recipients of the 2020 AF/McAslan Fellowship, Paul discussed our new future model for a Covid-safe, affordable and dementia friendly aged-care home. You can watch the talk here.
