The People in Space initiative set up by Pascale Scheurer has triggered design debates, a new magazine and the development of a 600-strong membership of young architects and designers. The debates provided a forum for young architects, engineers, a poet, filmmakers and a bicycle courier – themes included Design Like You Give a Damn, engaging with humanitarian architecture, Seductive Sustainability, in collaboration with Sponge Sustainability Network and Shooting Space, and architecture in film.
