Motivated by a love of fine art Stephen first trained as a sculptor at Manchester Metropolitan University. After completing his degree he kept a studio in the city centre and exhibited in local galleries, and was invited to join interactive art groups.

After several years overseas he returned to his home city, London and began formal training as an architect at Kingston University.  His understanding of the limitations and possibilities of different materials, and his playful and practical ability to bring these elements together, began to inform his early concepts and remains at the heart of his work to date.

Qualifying as a architect in 2015, Stephen went on to run teams on multi-million pound mixed-used commercial developments, listed building refurbishments and high-end residential projects in London and overseas.
